Kashid of Maharashtra is one of the cleanest beaches in India with white sand, blue seas, green mountains, and paddy fields. This is often considered the best beach of the Konkan region.

Kashid Beach, MaharashtraKashid beach is one of the beautiful and cleanest beaches located in the Maharashtra state of India. This beach town is wonderfully nestled on the shores of the great Arabian Sea. Natural beauty is the highlight of this beach. Though, usually it remains uninhabited during weekdays but on weekends it attracts an impressive number of holiday makers from various places.

Location of Kashid Beach
This famous beach is located in the North Konkan region of Maharashtra. It is 125 km from Mumbai on the Alibaug-Murud road. Alibaug, a coastal town in Raigad District in the Konkan region, is located 30 km from this beach.

Attractions of Kashid Beach
White sand, blue seas, green mountains, paddy fields, and rivulets are the main attractions of Kashid beach. The beach is spread over an area of 3 km. It is tucked in between two rocky hillocks. The seashore is carpeted with Casuarina groves. Since the beach is less populated, it offers immense opportunity to enjoy peace and relaxation. In the vicinity, people will find Murud-Janjira Fort, Birla temple, Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary, Korlai Fort, Revdanda Beach Fort, Alibaug Beach, which are some of the popular tourist spots.

The beach also offers ample opportunities to enjoy adventurous activities like surfing, banana ride and motor ride. It is especially good for surfing as the waves here are unusually high. However, during the months of June to September surfing is not recommended as the waves are dangerously high during the monsoons. Despite this factor, according to many, this is by far the best beach of the Konkan region. Interestingly, till the mid 90s it was not a well known tourist spot. It started gaining attention only after travellers to Murud-Janjira Fort started pausing to spend some time after observing the beauty of the beach.

Visiting Information to Kashid Beach
The best time to visit Kashid beach is from October to February. Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the nearest airport to this beach, which is 135 km from the place. Roha railway station is 50 km from Kashid beach. This rail station is well connected to Konkan line. This place can also be reached by road. Buses are available from Mumbai and Pune to Kashid beach.
