The legendary city of Dvaraka near Dwarka Beach was the dwelling place of Lord Krishna. It is believed that due to damage and destruction by Arabian Sea, Dwaraka has submerged six times. The modern day Dwarka is the seventh such city to be built in the area. According to Hindu legend the Hindu God Lord Krishna built a city which was ultimately destroyed by rising sea levels.

Dwarka beach is located in Gujarat at a place of religious importance. The ancient historic city of Dwarka is revealed by the marine excavations at the sea shore of Gujarat and its coastal line ups of Arabian Sea. This place of archaeological beauty is highly associated with the name of Lord Krishna. It is believed that Dwarka was the one of the most civilised place during the time of Krishna`s rule. Dwarka beach is known as the sunken city of India.

According to ancient Hindu mythological texts, Dwarka was a skirmish ground for lord Krishna and King Salva. According to the Indian Epic, Mahabharata, it is described that King Salva attacked Dwarka with a flying appliance. It is the description of the battle that draws the attention of the ancient aliens theorists, as it seems to suggest it was fought with sophisticated technology and advanced weapons, potentially even with a craft attacking from the orbit.

Dwarka beach does not only attract Indians, but also people all over the world. The shining white sand beach, coral reefs, extensive marine life and the ancient Hindu temples defines Dwarka as the tourist hotspot in western coastal region of India. Sea turtles, octopus, star fish, sea urchins, Dolphins are illustrating visible marine life of Dwarka Beach, while one can subscribe for scuba diving.
