The British Indian infantry formation of the 11th Indian Infantry Brigade was formed in 1939 under the British Government of India during the outbreak of World War II. The brigade was stationed in Egypt in August 1939. It was assigned to the 4th Indian Infantry Division in October 1939. Later it was joined with the 5th Indian Infantry Division in May 1942.
