Dain Thlen Falls is one of the finest and beautiful waterfalls nestled in the Meghalaya state of India. It is located near Cherrapunjee which is 56 kilometres away from Shillong. Dain Thlen Falls in Meghalaya is often associated with a local legend. It is supposed that a large demon named Theln was convicted and killed in these waterfalls. Based on this legend, the waterfall is named as Dain Thlen Falls. One can see the deep scars in which the demon swept till he was killed .On these rocks the evil spirit was killed.
