The infantry formation of the 3rd Indian Infantry Brigade operated as a part of the British Indian Army. It remained in active service for a short period from 1939 to 1940. The brigade was raised in September 1939 by the British Empire in India. The troops of the brigade took part in a number of British battles and conquests during the Second World War.
The 3rd Indian Infantry Brigade was re-designated as the Frontier Reserve Brigade in August 1943.
