They are innovative, intelligent and never shy away from experimenting with the cinematic forms.

Indian cinema has always remained true to its cultural heritage. It has often held a mirror to depict the changing societal norms. All these have been possible because the Indian film personalities have readily walked an extra mile to educate the masses while entertaining them. They have always come out of their shells for spreading social awareness and even organised movements. While some took to the streets others penned down opinions, composed poetry and songs to spread mass awareness.
