The concept of choreographers entered Bollywood probably from 1980s. The advent of choreographers was first seen in South Indian films. Prabhu Deva Sundaram popularly known as Prabhu Deva or "Benny Lava" was born on April 3, 1973 in Karnataka. He is a choreographer, actor and film director in India. Prabhu Deva is popularly known as "India`s Michael Jackson" for his fast-paced dance movements. The youngsters till date are imitating his dance and he is also credited as the inventor of several dance forms related to rock and disco steps.
Shiamak Davar is an Indian dancer and choreographer who specialize in jazz. He is known to have choreographed many Bollywood movies like Dil to Pagal Hai, Kisna, Taal, Bunty Aur Babli, Dhoom 2, I See you, Taare Zameen Par and is about to choreograph a Subhash Ghai movie Main Yuvraj.
