Omens Related to a Cat, Vastu ShastraThe Indian Vastu Shastra does not associate any omens with the pet cats. This ancient science only discusses the omens that are related to the stray cats.


•Gray colored cats are considered good omens.
•If a black cat enters the house it is also thought to be a god sign.
•Bad health is suggested if a white cat crosses the path of an individual. if other cats crosses the path it indicates failure in the work undertaken.
•When a cat sniffs the legs it is a bad omen.
•While setting out on a journey if a cat is seen on the left side it is considered a good omen. However if it crosses the path it is an ill omen.
•If a cat falls on a sleeping person it means that the man is going to face serious hazards. He may suffer from a serious illness which may result in his death.
•When a cat jumps on the forehead of a woman it indicates chances of widowhood.
•A cat gives birth to kittens in the house it is said to bring prosperity and wealth for the head of the family. Evil forces or spirits do not reside in such houses.
•It is a good omen if an individual catches a glimpse of 3 black vats together.
•Death of a cat in the house is a bad omen.
•If the cat follows a person coming out of the house it is said to bring wealth to the family.
•When the cat washes only one of her ears three times it indicates the arrival of guests.
•When a cat and male cat quarrel it indicates clashes in the house.
•When a cat constantly calls while a person is going out of the house it indicates loss for that person within a short period of time.
