Location of Magod Falls
It is located in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka state of India. Magod falls is situated close to the Magod village and 80 kilometres away from Karwar district. It is located at a distance of 19 kilometres from Yellapur and also 60 km away from Kumta.

Attractions of Magod Falls
The highlights of this attractive falls are scenic beauty, nearby lakes and serenity of the place. Magod Falls is nestled deep in the forest. The water falls from a height of 650 feet and makes roaring noise. This sound literally fills the entire region with joy and life. River Bedti gushes down from here and in the process presents a charming scene and makes the area a perfect picnic spot. The falls remain dry during the months of summer and misty during the monsoon season. The area is also considered as a paradise for the trekkers. On the way to this waterfall, one can pause a bit and enjoy the beauty of a lake called Kavade Kere. The lake is spread over an area of about 60 acres and is situated 8km from Yellapur.

Jenukallugudda meaning honey rock hillock is also worth a visit. While returning, the travellers can drop in at the site of this waterfall and can watch the mesmerizing sunset.

Connectivity of Magod Falls
It can be accessed via airway, railway and also roadway. The closest railway station is at Yellapur and the nearest airport is Goa Dabolim Airport. Magod Falls is also accessible by road from these places. However, it is advisable to take ones own car so that one can enjoy the travel to the fullest.
