Location of Hebbe Falls
It is situated in Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. It is located at a distance of 8 kilometres from Bangalore. It is situated around 10 km away from Kemmangundi, a famous hill station in Karnataka. It is said that this hill station used to be the summer retreat for Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, Wodeyar ruler. The nearest town to Hebbe Falls is Tarikere which is about 35 kms from Kemmangundi.

Attractions at Hebbe Falls
The main attraction of Hebbe Falls is its amazing scenic beauty. The spectacular view of this water falls is a treat to the eyes. This waterfall originates at a height of 250 feet above sea level. As the water falls with huge speed it splits up into two stages--Dodda Hebbe or the big falls and Chikka Hebbe or the small falls. Hebbe Falls in Karnataka is surrounded by beautiful gardens, lofty peaks and charming valleys. The falls are known to have medicinal properties as they run through a variety of medicinal plants. Taking a refreshing bath in the herb-infused water is popular among both the visitors.

As this was a place for the royal people, the neighbouring areas of Hebbe Falls had been beautified. Adventure sports like trekking and rock climbing are popular in the adjacent areas of Hebbe Falls. Tourists can also pay a visit to the Kalhattagiri falls or Kalhatti falls which is situated in the nearby area.

This is definitely place, which the travellers cannot miss. Hebbe Falls can be visited throughout the year but the best time is early winter.

Hebbe Falls can be accessed via airway, railway and also roadway. The nearest airport is in Mangalore and the closest railhead is at Tarikere. It is accessible by road. It can be reached by walk or a four wheeler.
