It is situated at 129, Race Course, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu- 641018, India. Affiliated to Bharathiar University and also approved by AICTE, this College imparts knowledge of high educational standards with the mission of making the young generation socially responsible, with high sense of values. It offers 9 graduate and 3 postgraduate programmes. These include-B.Sc in Catering Science and Hotel Management, B.Sc in Costume Design and Fashion, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), B.Sc in Mathematics, Bachelor of Social Work, B.Sc in Visual Communication, Master of Computer Application, Master of Social Work, Master of Costume Design and Fashion.

CSI Bishop Appasamy College consists of departments like Computer Science and Application, Catering Science and Hotel Management, Costume Design and Fashion, Commerce, Management, Mathematics, Social Work, Visual Communication. It is supported by a team of efficient and qualified faculty members.

In order to enable the students to develop their confidence, to nurture their leadership qualities and also to make them aware of their hidden potentials, various associations are present in CSI Bishop Appasamy College, under the supervision of a team of experienced faculty teachers.

The Alumni of the college is called Old Students Association. The Department of Computer Science and Application has two associations, namely Cybernauts and Ikons. Fantasia is an association of the Department of Commerce. the Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management has an association called Cat -a- Glories. Sonique belongs to the Department of Management Studies. Resonance is the association of the Department of Social Work, A ` La" Mode is the association of Department of Costume Design & Fashion. The Department of Visual Communication has an association called Eyedea. `Reflections` is associated with Department of English. The Department of Tamil also has an association.

CSI Bishop Appasamy College has a well-stocked library that is managed by a professional and well-qualified librarian. Both students and faculty members can utilise the library. It has a huge collection of 11,000 volumes of books and 68 periodicals It is computerised, with free internet accessibility and also a handful of audio-visual equipments.

Apart from education, special attention is paid on an overall development and nurturing ofthe pupil`s individual talent. In fact CSI Bishop Appasamy College bestows equal emphasis both on extra-curricular activities and academics. Every year Sports Day is feted in the college. The NSS unit was started in 1996 with forty-eight volunteers whose membership at present has increased to 315. Regular induction programmes, awareness programmes, camps for blood donation, fund raising for man-made and natural calamities, campaigns against AIDS, Leprosy, Child Labour are organised with lots of enthusiasm. Students also have enrolled themselves in National Cadet Corps (NCC). In 2000, the Girls wing of NCC was introduced with only ten cadets. Today, it is functional with 20-17 army wing cadets and three Air wing cadets.

In addition several clubs are present, where students can get scope of developing their skills. These include- Handicrafts Club, Sports Club, which facilitates sports like basketball, ball badminton, carom, chess, cricket, football, table tennis, volleyball, garden Club, Drama Club, Creative Writing Club, Dance Club, Quiz Club, Music Club-Western Music, Carnatic Music, Painting Club. Christian Education and Bible studies are organised for Christian students.
