Aitraaz, Indian MovieIn this Subhash Ghai produced Indian Hindi language romantic thriller film, Aitraaz, stars Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles. In 2004, it was the third film collaboration between Priyanka and Akshay after Andaaz (2003) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). The film tells the story of a man accused of sexual harassment by his female superior. The director duo Abbas-Mustan took inspiration from the National Basketball Association player Kobe Bryant, who was accused of rape by a fan. The duo began developing the film when they read about his sexual assault case in the newspapers. The film Aitraaz was announced in October 2003 by producer Subhash Ghai, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his production company Mukta Arts.

Plot of Aitraaz
Aitraaz is the story of Raj Malhotra played by Akshay Kumar, who is happily married to Priya played by Kareena Kapoor a non-practicing lawyer. Raj is an engineer in a cell phone firm whose chairperson was Ranjit Roy (Amrish Puri), and his young wife Sonia (Priyanka Chopra) is among the board of directors. Sonia also happens to be Raj`s ex-girlfriend and upon seeing Raj after 5 years, Sonia is again drawn towards him, in a purely lustful manner. She invites Raj over to her place in the pretext of discussing company matters but tries to sexually assault him and failing to get what she wants; Sonia accuses him of rape and asks her husband to remove Raj from the office. Raj, based on his innocence, decides to sue Sonia for sexual harassment. When nobody is ready to trust him, his wife predictably puts on the garb of a lawyer to fight his case. The second half of the movie turns into a gripping courtroom drama and Priya takes the stand to fight for her husband. She exposes Sonia for what she really is and wins the case. Guilt-stricken and humiliated, Sonia commits suicide by jumping from a building. The end credit scene shows Raj and Priya walking their child.

The star cast of the film `Aitraaz` includes Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Amrish Puri, Anu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Vivek Shauqe and Upasna Singh. The film is directed by Abbas-Mustan while it is produced by Subhash Ghai. The music in the film is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and the lyrics are done by Sameer. Ravi Yadav does the cinematography in the film while the screenplay of the movie was written by Shyam Goel and Shiraz Ahmed.
