Location of Gopnath Beach
Gopnath Beach is a beach situated in the Talaja Taluka of Bhavnagar district of Gujarat state of India. It is located on the coast of the Gulf of Khambhat, at a distance of 75 kilometres from the city of Bhavnagar and 22 kilometres away from Talaja.

Things to Do in Gopnath Beach
The major attractions in the vicinity of Gopnath Beach are Talaja, a Jain temple complex situated at a height of 350 feet above mean sea level, Buddhist caves which dated back to the first century and a Hindu Temple which is formed from one of those caves. The beach has lovely sands to walk on and shallow shoreline for wading. Also the Gopnath Mahadev temple is situated here close to the beach. The temple is big and well maintained and is nearly 700 years old. The Gopnath Mahadev Temple hoists two flags, where the first flag which is of white colour banderol indicating the aristocrat Vishnu Temple while the saffron black banderol symbolizes the temple of God Mahadeva. This Shiva temple is the place where the devotional poet Narsinh Mehta theoretically had his spiritual experience almost 500 years ago. For wading, the shallow shore waters offer the ideal setting. This beach offers a number of the most awe-inspiring sceneries to the tourists and it is a paradise for the nature lovers.

State transport buses and private luxury coaches gives an easy connectivity to Bhavnagar. It is situated 791 kilometres from Mumbai via Ahmedabad and 200 kilometres from Ahmedabad through the State Highway. It is on the Western Railway Line. It is 777 kilometres from Mumbai via Ahmedabad. Different domestic airlines connect Bhavnagar with Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
