Mother Teresa Women`s University is located at Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu. The University focuses on the empowerment of Women through education.

Mother Teresa Women`s University - KodaikanalMother Teresa Women`s University was set up in the year 1984 by the enactment of Tamil Nadu Act 15.The aim of the University is to give quality higher education to the women and make them self reliant. It is recognised by the University Grant Commission. The University has several affiliated colleges and a constituent college.

The University offers Master degree, Post graduate diploma ,and Doctorate programmes in various disciplines through the departments of Computer Science, Commerce Economics, Physics, Music, English, Historical Studies and Tourism Management, Management Studies, Education, Information Technology, Sociology, Bio - Technology ,Visual Communication, Tamil Studies, Family Life Management, Women`s Studies. In 1988 the University started the Distance Education.
