Sri Krishna Museum
Sri Krishna Museum is situated in Kurukshetra. The museum was constructed in the year 1987. It attempts to portray the versatile character of Lord Krishna with various works of art dating back to 1st century to the 11th century AD. It also puts on display a number of primitive and modern objects of art associated with the Hindu epic, Mahabharata. There are also some historical objects on display in this museum which have been gathered from various parts of Kurukshetra. Apart from the various characteristics of Lord Krishna, this museum also holds several articles which have been collected from different parts of India. Urusvati Museum of Folklore is another significant museum in Haryana situated at Madhram, Gurgaon. This is a very special museum as it holds the valuable treasures of the folk stories and presents them before the visitors with the help of paintings, diagrams, sculptures etc. This museum displays costumes, musical instruments, jewelleries and various folk art and crafts. With the Aravalli Mountain Ranges as its background, this museum is situated in the middle of a Jasmine garden and stretches over a luxuriant green field of over five and half acres. The Urusvati Museum of Folklore is a very peculiar museum which depicts the traditional love stories of India through paintings, trans-lights, dioramas, prints and sculptures.
