Ilanji
It is a Panchayat Town in Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli district, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

Ilanji, Tirunelveli district of Tamil NaduIt is a region located between the towns Tenkasi and Shencottah. Two great rivers Therkaru and Vadakkaru surround the town. The nearest access point is the Tenkasi Junction Railway Station.

Geography of Ilanji
The town of Ilanji is very interestingly located. It is located in the center of a triangle whose three corners are the towns of Senkottai, Courtallam and Tenkasi, (each of which is located approximately 3 km (2 mi) from Ilanji). Therefore, many people in the Tirunelveli district call it "Triplet city." It is surrounded by the two rivers Sutraru and Kundaru.

In the year 2001, Indian census had recorded a population of 9423 in Ilanji. But ten years later, in the year 2011, the number of people increased from 9423 to 10,325. There are about 51% male and 49% female amidst the population of Ilanji.

There are few important schools in the area of Ilanji. Those schools are Bharath Montessori Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Syed Res Mat Higher Secondary School, English Primary School, ICI Primary School, Valli Nayaga Primary School, T D T A Middle School and Aramba Jothi Matric School.

Tourism in Ilanji
There are two important tourist spots in Ilangi. They are Kutralam and Five falls.

Bozhi in Ilanji
Ilanji is also famous for its sweet named Bozhi. It is prepared of dal and jaggery (and without coconut).

The place Ilanji has three lakes very close to it. This is like a little paradise on earth which is filled with the gifts of nature and people of good hospitality. Also a special mention is to be made about the south-west and north-east monsoon which the place receives.
