Mehao Lake is natural lake amidst the green forest is a part of the Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary. It is located at a height of near about 3000 feet and at around 14 kms from Roing. This is the natural stretch of water that is considered as one of the most stunning spots of Arunachal Pradesh. The absolutely clear water of the lake attracts huge number of wild ducks. It is a huge lake covering an area of about 4 sq. kms. Moreover, the surroundings of Mehao Lake are enormously rich in flora and fauna. The water of the lake is absolutely crystal clear and a boat ride gives a divine pleasure. Trekking the small pathway leading to the lake through the virgin forest is also considered as a wonderful experience.
Mehao Wildlife Sanctuary is described as the land of wonder for the tourists. A rugged mountainous belt with its panoramic landscape is so beautiful that is difficult to describe in words. The Mehao Wildlife sanctuary is situated near Roing and covers an area of almost 281 sq. kms. The altitude of this sanctuary is within 400 metres to 3568 metres above the sea level. It derives its name from the Mehao Lake.
Nehru Van Udyan, a natural forest park, is located at a distance of hardly one kilometre from the Roing Township, on the bank of Deopani River. This park has a well maintained garden and a wonderful orchid and cactus houses. It is an ideal spot picnic spot.
Iphipani is a wonderful location of this district. In fact it is one of the most preferred picnic spots of the region. It is located at a distance of 10 kms from Roing Township.
Nijomaghat is another beautiful tourist attraction located at around 15 kms from the Roing Township. This historical site was established by the Britishers. It is named after British political officer J.F. Needham. Actually it was the access point for the Britishers to enter in the hills.
Hunli is a beautiful picturesque town nestled at an altitude of 5000 feet. It is the sub-divisional headquarter. It is located at a distance of 90 kms drive from Roing.
Bhismaknagar Fort is a heritage monument of Lower Dibang Valley district and is situated around 30 kms from Roing. Interestingly, it is considered as the oldest archaeological site in the region.
