Rajshri Thakur is the dusky actress essaying the role of Saloni in the very popular soap `Saat Phere - Saloni Ka Safar.` Born on 22 September 1981, the Mumbai-bred Maharashtrian girl has done many commercials and endorsed many popular brands before she tried her hands in acting. Rajshri Thakur has also worked as a news reporter with All India Radio (AIR), Doordarshan (DD) and Zee Television. She also participated in several college and inter-collegiate drama festivals and was also the assistant director to Abhay Rajdkshay in many Marathi serials like `Peltana`, `Reshim Gaathi`. She has also acted in an Indo-French film titled `Hawa Aane Do` which has been screened at Asian Film Festivals. It is her simple appearance in this film that helped her to bag the role of Saloni in the popular soap.
In her personal life Rajshri Thakur is married to Sanjyot Vaidya who is also an actor and works in the Marathi Theater. Both of them were seen in a telefilm called `Tuzha Tu Vadhva Raja` where she enacted the role of Saibai and he played Shivaji. Rajshri Thakur is the only actor from Zee Television to be selected to attend the Zee Carnival in London. She was awarded the Best Fresh Face of the Year - Female 2006 at the Sixth Indian Telly Awards along with Prachi Desai who stars in `Kasamh Se.`
