Mohnish Behl was born on 14 February 1963. He has worked in both the small screen and in the silver screen. His mother Nutan was a celebrated actress of Bollywood and his father was a Naval Lieutenant Commander. Actress Shobhna Samarth was his grandmother and actresss Tanuja is his aunt. Actress Kajol and Tanisha Mukherjee are his cousins. Mohnish Behl is married to the Actress Ekta Behl is his wife and the couple have two daughters.

Career of Mohnish Behl
Mohnish Behl debuted in the film `Purana Mandir` in 1984 by Ramsay brothers. He essayed a negative role in Salman Khan starrer blockbuster movie `Maine Pyar Kiya` His best and most memorable movie was Rajshri Productions` Hum Aapke Hain Koun` (1994) and `Hum Saath-Saath Hain: We Stand United` (1999). He played the role of the eldest brother in both the movies. After few other movies he starred in the blockbuster `Kaho na Pyaar Hai` in the year 2000. In this movie he was seen as Inspector Kadam. He portrayed the role of a music teacher in `Astitva` (2000). The movie was critically acclaimed and Mohnish received rave reviews for his role. He was seen in a special appearance as a doctor in `Vivaah` (2006). Some of his other movies like `Hum Tum Aur Mom` (2005), `Hum Do Hamaara Ek` (2005), `Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar` (2006), `Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee` (2007), `Memsahab` (2008), and `Heroes` (2008) did not do well at the box office.Mohnish was one of the playback singers for Safari (1999).

Apart from movies Mohnish Behl has also acted in numerous popular serials. He played significant roles in serials like `Devi`, `Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii`, `Kayamath` and `Sanjivani: A Medical Boon`and Dill Mill Gaye. He has also hosted many shows like Bachke Rehna on Sony TV Channel and Star Vivaah on STAR Plus with co-host Additi Shirwaiker.
