Jammu and Kashmir is the northernmost State in India and has a large number of educational institutions. The medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir admit a large number of students from all over India, every year. The students are admitted through an entrance examination and they have to pass the Senior Secondary/ Higher Secondary Part II (class 12th) Examination of 10+2 stream or equivalent examinations from a recognized statutory Board /University, as the minimum educational qualification.
