Kuntibhoja is a friend of Sura who adopted his daughter Kunti.

The Hindu mythology affirms that Kuntibhoja was the friend of Sura who adopted his daughter. He was thus the foster-father of Kunti, the mother of Pandavas, He was the ruler of the Kunti Kingdom.

Kuntibhoja raised Pritha or Kunti as his own daughter. Later she was married to Pandu the king of Kuru Kingdom, where she was addressed by the Kauravas as Kunti. Kuntibhoja took part in the Kurukshetra War, assisting the Pandavas.
