In the popular Balaji love saga `Kkavyanjali` she enacted the character of `Vanshika chachi` who made her smart moves in league with the popular Bollywood actress Amrita Singh who essayed the character of Nitya. Soon after her role ended over there she was seen playing the do-gooder in the popular Zee family show `Reth`. In this daily she makes her appearance on screen with the role of Dr. Daakshi to care for the ailing son of the main protagonist Jia (played by Deepa Parab). According to her it was a very positive character and gave her a lot of chance to perform.

Kishwar Merchant wooed the audiences for the first time with the role of a medico in the popular Sony show `Dhadkan`. She actually made her television debut with the very popular `Hip Hip Hooray` on Zee Television. She claims that playing the character of Dr. Daakshi in that of `Reth` has really made her a really experienced doctor on the small screen. Her look in the soap was also very contemporary. She was mostly seen in casuals while she was not in the duty time. Her track in that of `Kkavyanjali` also went erratic for sometime during which she took up another show. Recently she also shot for the Doordarshan thriller series `Detective Karan`. She mainly did a cameo in this show. The actress also appeared in a Hindi play called `Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar` by Paritosh Painter. She was also seen in other popular shows like `Rihaee` on Sony Television, `Kasauti Zindagi Kay` for Star Plus, `Kayamat` for the Doordarshan,`Babul Ki Duwayein Leti Jaa` for Zee Television and `Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat` for Sony Television. Her acting skills as well as her powerhouse performance in different soaps in an assortment of character portrayals have made her hugely popular with the producers and the directors of the soaps.
