Equipments of ChessEquipments of Chess are the most important in the modern day chess. Chess is an early game. For this, it saw a number of evolutions. All the equipments in Chess are the tangible items. The equipments in Chess are chess pieces, chessboard, chess clock and table.

Chess box
Chess box is a container for holding chess pieces. It is most commonly made of wood. But some of the chess boxes are made up of plastic. The internal box configuration can be individual slots for each chess piece, one divider to separate the white and black pieces or no divider with the chess pieces mixed together. The external chess box is typically rectangular in shape, but can be done in a variety a shapes including a coffer top or sliding drawers.

Chess clock
It is dual clock with buttons to stop one clock while starting the other, so that the two clocks never run simultaneously. Chess clocks were first used extensively in tournament chess in Europe. Later it came to India during the British era. It was first used in London 1883 tournament. The analog clocks are equipped with a flag that falls to indicate the exact moment the player`s time has expired. The analog clocks use mechanical buttons. Pressing the button of the clock on one player`s side physically stops the movement of that player`s clock and releases the hold on the opponent`s.

Chess table
A chess table is a table, made up of wood or any material. It has the features to make it useful for playing the game of chess. A chess board is usually integral to the table top and often two drawers are provided to hold the pieces when not in use. Chess tables can be extremely decorative, well made and potentially expensive pieces of furniture in colonial India. The most chess tables have the board inlaid or engraved though cheaper tables may have it painted on. A chess table is not necessary to play chess and is not restricted only to playing chess.

Chessboard
Chessboard is the type of checkerboard. It is used in the classic board game chess, and consists of 64 squares which consist of eight rows and eight columns and 32 pieces.
