Colleges in Delhi have been formed with the objective to promote education as well as impart values of human society.

Colleges in DelhiDelhi is thronged with numerous colleges, strewn in every nook and corner of it. In other words Delhi Colleges have contributed in disseminating quality education to the students. Apart from imparting classroom education and learning, special attention is given in practical application of knowledge for future. Teams of efficient faculty members train the students so that they can keep pace with globalisation. Socially responsible citizens are what they want to become. Apart from gaining excellence in the field of education, they are also made sensitive towards socio-political issues. In the era of globalisation, the colleges of Delhi pay extra attention to look after the overall personality development of a student. Thus they become jack-of-all-trades and yet master of all. Extracurricular activities, in a way, are being promoted by various cultural associations and clubs of Delhi Colleges.

Delhi colleges are affiliated to 4 universities, 7 deemed universities and one Open University. Many colleges form an integral part of Delhi University that are scattered in its entire north, south, west and east campus grounds. Some colleges of Delhi also form part of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. In addition, there are a handful of colleges allied to other universities that have been formed in Delhi. These universities have developed into autonomous institutions created through Acts of Parliament.

Bhagini Nivedita College
is a women`s college in Delhi. It is located in Kair Village, near Najafgarh, New Delhi-110043. It offers undergraduate courses like B.A. (Hons) in Hindi, B.A. Programme, B.Com. (Pass).

College of Vocational Studies, Delhi
is a coeducational college located at Triveni (Sheikh Sarai), Phase-II, New Delhi-110017. At undergraduate level it offers courses like B.A. (Hons) Business Economics; B.A. (Hons) Economics; B.A. (Hons) History; B.A. (Hons) Social Work; B.A. Programme; B.A. (Vocational Studies). One can also pursue other courses like B.Com. (Hons) and B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science

Colleges in Delhi Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
is a reputed college affiliated to Delhi University. Located at B-Block, Vikaspuri, New Delhi, it offers courses like B.Sc. in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports. Postgraduate course include Master of Physical Education & Sports. Duration of the course is two years. Post Graduate Diploma in Physical Education and Certificate in Physical Education also are offered.

Maitreyi College
is another college located at Bapudham Complex, Chankyapuri, New Delhi-110021. It offers B.A. (Hons) in Economics, English, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology, B.A. Programme. One can also opt for B.Sc. P.G.D.A.V. COLLEGE (DAY)
was set up in 1957 with a faculty of 81 members. The present number of students is 1622 who have taken admission in all the three streams of Humanities, Commerce and Science. Courses offered include B. A. Pass in vocational subjects like Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Office Management and Secretarial Practice; B. A. (Hons) in Mathematics, Economics , Statistics, History, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Political Science. Commerce students also enroll themselves in B. Com (Pass) and B. Com(Hons) courses. Other courses include B. Sc and B. C. A . Masters in Arts also are opted by the students. It is located at Nehru Nagar, Ring Road, Friends Colony, New Delhi, Delhi-110065.

Amongst all the colleges of Delhi special mention may be made of Mata Sundri College for Women.
It is located at Mata Sundri Lane, New Delhi-110 002. Undergraduate courses offered are- B.Com. (Hons), B.Com. Colleges in DelhiSatyawati College
is a university college in New Delhi affiliated to Delhi University. Located in Ashok Vihar-phase-3, New Delhi, the college has both morning and evening shifts, imparting education to approximately two thousand students. It also has a team of nearly one hundred and fifty permanent teaching staff. It offers degrees in Commerce, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Sanskrit, and Urdu. Economics and Commerce are the two most popular courses among the students.

Aditi Mahavidyalaya For women
was founded at 1994 that offers courses like Elementary Education, B.Com; BA (Pass) in vocational subjects like--Family and Child Welfare; Food Technology; Nutrition, Health and Education; Office Management; Secretarial Practice; Business Data Processing; BA (Hons) in Hindi Journalism and Social Work.

Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College
lies at Punjabi Bagh (West), Road No. 57, New Delhi-110026. Bhaskaracharya College of Applied Sciences
is a co-educational college that offers courses at undergraduate level. These include B.Sc. (Hons) courses like Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science and Polymer Science, Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Hons) Electronics, Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Hons) Food Tech, Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Hons) Instrumentation.
