Charu Nivedita began writing at a young age. `Existentialisamum Fancy Baniyanum` was his first novel. This novel shattered the cultural beliefs. It was about how a young man overcomes the anxiety of his life through his writings. Presently he is writing column "Manam Kothi Paravai" in a Tamil weekly Ananda Vikatan .
Zero Degree was his next novel that is considered as one of the best in transgressive fiction. It completely transformed all that is termed as taboo to a beautiful level. His novel `Raasa Leela` was a satire on governmental red tapism. His next novel was `Kaamarooba Kadhaigal`.
He has composed several articles on various topics like politics, literature, music, cinema, post-modernism and general human beliefs. His essays, articles and novels have the satirical parody. He is also a social activist who has participated in various movements and protests against the governmental oppression in the state of Kerala where his writings are more popular.

Dhandeyin Siruththai was his literary review. His Movie Review Collections include: Alainthuthiribavanin Azhagiyal, Cinema Cinema, Naragaththilirundhu oru kural. Kalagam Kaadhal Isai is his article based on world music. His Political essays include: Azaadhi Azaadhi Azaadhi and Adhigaaram Amaidhi Sudhanthiram. Ozhunginmaiyin Veriyaattam is his interview collection. Rendaam aattam is the only play written by him.
