Anjali Menon is an Indian film director and screenwriter who made her directional debut with the feature film Manjadikuru (Lucky Red Seeds). She was awarded the FIPRESCI award for the Best Malayalam film and Best Indian Debut Director.

Early Life of Anjali Menon
Anjali Menon was born in Calicut, Kerala. She was the daughter of T. Madhavan Nair and Sarada Nair. Anjali Menon grew up in Dubai and studied in Indian High School and Our Own English High School. Later she did her high school education in Presentation School Calicut and graduated with a degree in commerce from Providence Women`s College, Calicut. Anjali Menon acquired her post-graduation degree in Communication Studies, specialising in Television production, from Pune University.

Career of Anjali Menon
In 2000, Anjali Menon joined the London Film School, specialising in Film Direction, and graduated with overall distinction honours in editing, producing and directing film. Her graduation film Black Nor White, where she is credited as Anjali Nair, features Rez Kempton and Archie Panjabi with Asif Kapadia as Executive Producer was premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Anjali Menon started her career in 1997 with television, working on shorts, documentaries and program designing projects in India, Middle East and UK. In 2006 she and Vinod Menon, to whom she is married, started Little Films India, a film company in Mumbai. Writings of Anjali Menon Anjali Menon is a published writer with her screenplays as well as Monsoon Feast-a collection of short stories where she has contributed a story.

Awards Received by Anjali Menon
Anjali Menon was awarded the National Film Award in 2012- 60th National Film Awards - Best Dialogues. In the year 2012, she was awarded Kerala State Film Award - Best Screenplay (Manjadikuru). In the year 2013, she was awarded Asianet Film Awards - Best Screenplay. In the year 2015, Anjali Menon was awarded Filmfare Awards South - Best Director (Bangalore Days). In the year 2015, she was awarded Asianet Film awards - Best Director (Bangalore Days) and Best Popular Film (Bangalore Days). In the year 2015, Anjali Menon was awarded Vanitha Film Awards - Best Director (Bangalore Days) and Best Popular Film (Bangalore Days).
