One of the popular Indian television actors of the 1980s, Mohan Bhandari was known for portraying the loving father in the 2005 Zee Television show, "Saat Phere". His appearance as the strict father of the female protagonist of the soap Saloni has earned him rave reviews.
Early Life of Mohan Bhandari
Born on 1947 in the Banbhaura village of the Sangrur district of the state of Punjab, Mohan Bhandari used to work in the State Bank of India. This was before his stint in the television and film industry.
Career of Mohan Bhandari
Mohan Bhandari had quit his officer`s job with State Bank of India to pursue his interest in acting. He was immensely popular in the 1980s but took a brief hiatus in between because of a brain haemorrhage that he had suffered recently. After he made his comeback into the acting circuit, Mohan was offered few roles in UTV and Cinevistaas by Manish Goswami. He next bagged a role in the serial `Saat Phere`
Mohan Bhandari earlier appeared in several other serials including "Karz", "Parampara", "Jeevan Mrityu", "Pathjhad", "Gumraah" and "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara". Mohan Bhandari also showed his acting prowess in the Bollywood historical blockbuster "Mangal Pandey: The Rising" starring Aamir Khan. He was also seen in a significant role in the much popular soap "Kittie Party".

Personal Life of Mohan Bhandari
An actor and a producer, Mohan Bhandari had a long fulfilling life but on 24th September, 2015, took his last breath in his Mumbai residence. Mohan Bhandari"s son Dhruv Bhandari is also an Indian television actor known for series like "Rakt Sambandh" and "Tere Sheher Mein".
