E.S.L. Narasimhan or Ekkadu Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan is the present Governor of the Indian state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He was sworn on January 23, 2010 as The Governor of Andhra Pradesh. And from the year 2014, he is serving as the Governor of Telangana also. Telangana is the 29th newly born state in India. Hyderabad is now the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He has also served as the Governor of Chhattisgarh from 2007 to 2010. Till 2006 Narasimhan has also held the position of Director of the Intelligence Bureau.

Early Life of E.S.L. Narasimhan
E.S.L. Narasimhan was born in the year 1945 in Tamil Nadu. He completed his graduation from the University of Madras in Physics. He did his post graduation in Political Science and law in Madras. For his outstanding performance in the post graduation he was conferred Gold medal. He had also done L.L.B from the Madras Law University. He also did his studies at the National Defence College in New Delhi and then joined the Indian Police Service.

Political Career of E.S.L. Narasimhan
In 1968, Ekkadu Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan joined Indian Police Service (I.P.S). He was promoted as the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He also worked for the Intelligence Bureau as Special Director. He was also appointed as the Chief of the Bureau. Ekkadu Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan was the First Secretary in the Moscow Embassy from 1981 to 1984. After serving the Intelligence Bureau for several years he retired as the director of the Bureau on December 31, 2006. On December 27, 2009, he became the acting Governor of Andhra Pradesh. From June 2 2014, this veteran former Governor of Chhatisgarh and Andhra Pardesh, E.S.L. Narasimhan is positioned as the Governor of Telangana also. Ekkadu Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan played a most vital role in the formation of this new born state of India, Telangana. He and Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, formally known as (K. Chandrashekar Rao) along the Indian National Congress political members, after the series of discussion, Telangana was formed as the 29th State of India.
