Uttarakhand Technical UniversityUttarakhand Technical University, set up in 2004, is one of the leading technical universities of the state of Uttarakhand, India. The university is located in the capital city of the state, Dehradun. Previously all the engineering and technical colleges were under the UP Technical University situated in Uttar Pradesh. But now, after the creation of Uttarakhand, the government of the state finds ample reason to club all the technical institutes under a single university, hence, the setting up of Uttarakhand Technical University in the year 2004.

The process of admission to these colleges is done thorough a system of entrance test, UTUEE (Uttarakhand Technical University Entrance Examination), which is usually conducted in the month of June. The notice of admission for the same is published in advance. It is made known to people thorough all the major newspaper of the state. Entrance Exam Forms are typically available in 2nd week of April.
