Aditi Sen, a Kathak dancer from India, is amongst one of the prominent dancers of the present generation. Besides a performer, she is also a teacher and choreographer. She is well known in India as well as abroad. Her dances are soulful, expressive, technically powerful and graceful by nature. As a teacher and performer, she has successfully inspired both her students and audience of a diverse background and culture. Her innate innovativeness has also contributed as an immediate factor for her success.
Early Life of Aditi Sen
Her forte for dancing received proper guidance from some of the most talented and skilful teachers like Smt Maya Sinha (Mishra), Smt Saswati Sengupta and Guru Susmita Mishra of Jaipur Gharana. Since last few years she is grooming herself under the tutelage of renowned Kathak maestro, Pandit Rajendra Gangani. She also has gone through long rigorous riyaz (practice) under the able guidance of Great Tabla maestro, Pandit Kumar Bose.
Career of Aditi Sen
Aditi always gave formal education priority along with her dedication to this form of art and ultimately holds First Class Master Degree in Indian Classical Dance. Throughout her studentship she won many All India based competitions, like, the Dover lane Music and Dance Competitions, Rajya Sangeet Academy etc. She also went ahead with the Junior and Senior Scholarship in Kathak from Dept. of Culture, Government of India. She is a graded artist of Doordarshan.
Personal Life of Aditi Sen
Aditi Sen is married Sri Kousic Sen, a gifted Tabla player of this generation. Together they have also established a cultural organisation, known as RIYAZ. This organisation is engaged in and with an honest desire to serve and propagate Indian classical music and dance to the world.
