Districts of Mizoram
Districts of Mizoram include eight administrative districts. Deputy Commissioner is in charge of the administration of an individual district.

Districts of Mizoram bring forth the true culture and tradition of the state. Mizoram is a mountainous region which became the 23rd state of Indian Union in the year 1987. It was one of the districts of Assam till 1973 when it became a Union Territory. Mizoram consists of eight districts. Each district of Mizoram is administered by a Deputy Commissioner. A Deputy Commissioner holds several positions. Like for instance, he also acts as the District Magistrate as well as the District Collector. A Deputy Commissioner of a district of Mizoram is the executive head and he is responsible for maintaining law and order in the district. Deputy Commissioner is in charge for revenue collection in a district of Mizoram.

Aizawl District
Aizawl District is an administrative district of Mizoram and its headquarters are located at Aizawl city. This district has its name after its headquarters. It has five rural development blocks.

Districts of Mizoram Champhai District
Champhai District of Mizoram is one of its eight administrative districts. Administrative headquarters of Champhai District is Champhai town. It has four rural development blocks.

Kolasib District
Kolasib District is a district of Mizoram with its administrative headquarters located at Kolasib town. The district has two rural development blocks.

Lawngtlai District
Lawngtlai District is an administrative district of Mizoram. Headquarter of Lawngtlai District is located at Lawngtlai town. The district has four rural development blocks. Lawngtlai District came into being in the year 1998.

Lunglei District
Lunglei District is one of the eight administrative districts of Mizoram. The district has its headquarters at Lunglei town. Lunglei District has been named after its administrative headquarters, Lunglei. This district has four rural development blocks.

Districts of Mizoram Mamit District
Mamit District, an administrative district of Mizoram, has four rural development blocks. The administrative headquarters of Mamit District is Mamit town.

Saiha District
Saiha District was formerly known as Chhimtuipui district. It is one of the eight administrative districts of Mizoram with its headquarters at Saiha town. Saiha District has three rural development blocks.

Serchhip District
Serchhip District, one of the eight administrative districts of Mizoram, came into being in the year 1998. Administrative headquarters of Serchhip District is Serchhip town. The main towns of this district of Mizoram are Serchhip, North Vanlaiphai and Thenzawl.

Districts of Mizoram are divided into one or more than sub-divisions, which are further divided into community development blocks and tehsils.
