The college is being managed by a leading educational institution in India, the Dayananda Sagar Institutions that runs under the aegis of "Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Trust", Bangaluru. The college is considered as the only unique centre in the city of Bangaluru that meets the motto, "Education for All Sections of Society". The main motto of the college is "Education completes the man".

The Dayananda Sagar Dental College (DSDC), Bangaluru was established by the trust with a view to cater quality medical education to the students of every part of the society. The college is also working on providing high quality treatment facilities to the people of Karnataka. The Dayananda Sagar Dental College (DSDC), Bangaluru is housed in a modern building complex and the hospital complex has eight clinical departments. All the departments are well equipped with state of the art technical instruments and facilities and they are helping the college in training the students into practicing dentistry. The established Clinical departments of the college are the department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral Surgery, Periodontics, Conservative Dentistry, Pedodontics, Prosthodontics, Orthodontics, and Community Dentistry.

The Dayananda Sagar Dental College (DSDC), Bangaluru imparts medical and scientific knowledge through various instructive programmes. The college imparts knowledge about the skill required to treat the patient, through meticulously planned pre-clinical exercises on models simulating patients in the laboratories. The college also teaches its students about the basic and clinical medical sciences, which form a back bone of dental surgeons to treat their patients. This is taught through the well equipped pre-clinical laboratories and clinical postings in a general hospital attached to the Dental college. The hospital is located close to the campus. The college offers several courses in different fields of dental science at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Apart from offering the courses, the college also provides separate hostel facilities for the male and female students.
