Rananjaya is a prince and the son of Kritanjaya, solar dynasty.

Rananjaya is one of the rulers of Ayodhya and the King of Kosala. He belonged to the solar dynasty or Suryavansha. Rananjaya was a progeny of Ikshvaku, so said to belong to the Ikshvaku dynasty.
