In the Vishnu Purana, Minaratha was the son of Anenas and was the emperor of Mithila.

Mithila was a kingdom in ancient India. Mithila was the capital of Videha Kingdom as per epic the Ramayana.

Minaratha belonged to the family of Janaka. Mithila is said to be the last King of Janaka Dynasty.
