Sarathi Chatterjee, Indian Classical VocalistSarathi Chatterjee was born into a family, which gives music a special attention. Today he has been considered as one of the noted young Hindustani classical vocalists of generation next. He was inducted to the realm of music with the hands of his father, noted Indian classical musician Prof.Arun kumar Chatterjee. Prof.Arun kumar Chatterjee represents the highly esteemed traditional gharana of Kirana Gharana. He is considered to be the highly established exponent of this gharana.

Musical Life of Sarathi Chatterjee
Sarathi Chatterjee has received his training in classical music from his mother Smt.Shefali chatterjee. Since his childhood Sarathi Chatterjee has a quest after music. This quest later on led him to receive further training under the expert tutelage of Hindustani classical vocalists, Pandit Rajan-Sajan Misra of Benaras gharana. Sarathi Chatterjee started executing his performance in and around India at highly esteemed festivals like the ITC Sangeet Sammelan in Calcutta (now Kolkata), Saptak festival in Ahmadabad, Sangeet Natak Academy festival in Aurangabad, Dinanath Mangeshkar festival in Goa, Vishnu Digambar Sangeet Samaroh, NDMC morning raga at the Nehru park Delhi, Sankatmochan festival Varanasi, ICCR concerts in new Delhi etc.

Sarathi Chatterjee has fetched the honor of performing as a vocalist with the orchestra directed by Sitar maestro Pt. Ravi Shankar. For his contribution to the domain of Music he has been conferred several accolades. He has received awards from overseas also during his execution at the countries like UK, Canada, France, Switzerland, Srilanka, Finland, Dubai, Muscat, Doha, Bangladesh etc.
